So I have researched as follows: My job was to research the genre, and the common elements of a music video. So I have researched as follows: After researching different music videos from different genres, a particular style of music stood out to me more than other and this was called  ā€œDubstepā€. I then looked into music videos under the genre dubstep and viewed the foloowing:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioUE_5wpg_E Drama - is a film genre that depends mostly on in-depth development of realistic characters

Elements we will use: ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],What is ā€˜keeping the British themeā€™. This is when we keep elements of British film in the music video. For example we will have shots of  famous British attractions e.g London eye, and the narrow roads and traffic, red buses in London city. I want people watching to recognize the surroundings in the video. I am are not going to try to Americanize/ glamorize our film. We are going to keep it real and near to the truth. We know it is more likely to appeal to our target audience as the will be familiar with our location and be able appreciate the different effects I've used in order to bring this locations to life.

Representation Many representations of Dub step music are portrayed within my digipack. On  the cover of my digipack there is  an imprint of the same picture  in a range of different colours. This idea was taken from my model 2. the reason why I chose to do this was because I felt that my video was very repetitive, so therefore I had to portray this element within my cd cover.
What I learned from audience feedback about ancillary task 1 My audience my audience thought that my digipack had many features making it interesting and fun. They thought that my frontcover looked retro, however as my music genre was Dubstep itā€™d be able to get away with it as it means I have re-prestented dub step music as more retro

  • 17. Representation Many representations of Dub step music are portrayed within my digipack. On the cover of my digipack there is an imprint of the same picture in a range of different colours. This idea was taken from my model 2. the reason why I chose to do this was because I felt that my video was very repetitive, so therefore I had to portray this element within my cd cover.
  • 18. What I learned from audience feedback about ancillary task 1 My audience my audience thought that my digipack had many features making it interesting and fun. They thought that my frontcover looked retro, however as my music genre was Dubstep itā€™d be able to get away with it as it means I have re-prestented dub step music as more retro
